LIFE STORIES

My husband used to mock me in front of the guests and call me a fat cow: but he had no idea what revenge awaited him 😲😨

That evening everything started like in a movie. My husband and I were invited to dinner by his friend and his wife. I spent a lot of time thinking about choosing a dress – I wanted to look dignified and truly elegant. The evening promised to be pleasant: laughter, informal conversation, delicious food, candles and glasses of champagne.

But one clumsy movement turned everything upside down. During dinner, a piece of meat accidentally fell on my dress. It seemed like a small thing, but my husband’s face immediately changed: from cheerful to stern.

I knew that look. He often reacted like that, and we always argued over little things like that. I tolerated his nature out of love, but the thought of divorce always bothered me.

And then, right in front of the guests, he turned to everyone and said with a cold smile:

“Forgive me for being a bitch. She doesn’t know how to behave in public. Stop eating! You’re already fat.”

A deathly silence fell over the room. His friend and his wife froze, unable to believe their ears. I felt a wave of pain rise in my chest, but instead of tears, I just smiled tightly.

“What are you doing?” my friend interrupted. “Your wife has a beautiful figure!”

“What? I can’t tell the truth anymore?” the man leaned back in his chair. “She’s gained weight again. It’s embarrassing to be around her!”

“She’s beautiful,” my friend insisted.

“Beautiful?” my husband laughed. “Have you ever seen her without makeup? It’s awful! I wake up in the morning and think: why did I marry her?”

At that moment, something inside me broke. I excused myself and went to the bathroom.

“Go cry, calm down, idiot,” my husband added after me.

In the bathroom, when I was left alone, I burst into tears. But with the tears came a decision – I will not let him trample on my dignity anymore. It’s time to take revenge on him… 😢😢 Continued from the first comment 👇👇

I returned to the living room. I sat down at the table, calmly took off my wedding ring and placed it in front of my husband.

“What does that even mean?” he frowned.

“I’m filing for divorce.”

He snorted:

“Ha! Who needs you so much? No one will love you.”

“We’ll see,” I replied calmly. “You’ll pack your things and leave tomorrow. From my apartment. Well, I’m fat, I can’t fit in there. Yeah, you’ll leave my car in the garage. And don’t worry: my brother will find out. You know how much he loves you.

“You won’t see…”

“You will see.”

I stood up, grabbed my bag, and headed for the exit. Behind me, I heard his friend’s voice, soft but clear:

“You deserve it, you bastard.”

I left the house and for the first time in a long time, I felt free.
