Today, my future fiancé invited me to his home to meet his parents, but along the way, I encountered a reality that even I couldn’t believe. 😱
This morning, my boyfriend called me and said his parents wanted to meet me and asked me to be at their house at 5:00 PM. I left the house, went to a beauty salon, and then bought some makeup to make my look perfect for the meeting.
Around 2:00 PM, my boyfriend called again and said,
“Have you forgotten that we’re supposed to meet my parents in a few hours?”
“No,” I replied, putting my phone down, and continuing to perfect my look.
With only an hour left before the meeting, I called a taxi and headed to their house.

On the way, I asked the driver to stop at a store so I could pick out a gift for his parents for our first meeting.
I went into the supermarket, picked out a gift, and went to the checkout to pay, but noticed a huge line. Looking at my watch, I realized I might be late—it was 4:45 PM, and I had 15 minutes left until my appointment.
Two options popped into my head: leave the gift and go without it, or wait in line and risk being late.
I chose the latter and waited.
When the line almost reached me, an elderly woman stood in front of me, short on cash: her purchase had cost $150, and she only had $80. The woman asked me to wait while she found the missing amount.
I glanced at the other lines and realized there was no more time—I was already late. I approached the woman and said,
“Excuse me, madam, may I pay for you? I have to go urgently.”
The woman became angry, and we began arguing, attracting the attention of security.
Finally, I paid for her purchase and walked through the checkout with my gift, hurrying to the guy’s house—it was already 10 minutes late.
When I arrived, he met me at the door and led me into the living room.😨😨
“Meet my dad,” the guy said. I introduced myself, handed him the gift, and settled in.
“Mom will be joining me soon,” he added.
Five minutes later, the doorbell rang. The guy opened the door, and his mother walked in with him.
“Meet my mom, darling,” he said.
I turned around and saw his mom—and I was in complete shock, unable to believe my eyes.

“Maybe we’ve already met,” she whispered with a slight smile.
The living room seemed to freeze. My boyfriend took my hand under the table, as if warning me of a potential storm.
And I realized: what happened in the store was no accident, but the beginning of something that would completely change our encounter.
Yes, this was the woman with whom I had argued in the store, although I didn’t recognize her then.
But now we both realized it and quickly forgot the small misunderstanding. Our evening continued in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, leaving only good impressions.
