LIFE STORIES

During the wedding, a dog attacked one of the guests who was hiding something under her dress.

The village wedding brought everyone together: everyone came to share the bride and groom’s joy. The guests laughed, sang, and toasted. Music filled the air.

And no one noticed how a stranger in a long green dress slowly approached the cheerful crowd from the forest. She walked slowly. Her face was calm, but she was hiding something under the hem of her dress.

No one noticed the stranger’s appearance. No one—except Bayrak.

An old but faithful dog, belonging to a friend of the groom, lay in the shade under the table. All morning, it had followed its owner tirelessly, but now it froze and stared intently at the stranger. Its ears perked, its tail twitched, and the fur along its spine stood up.

Bayrak sensed something was wrong.

The woman came closer. She was already a few meters away from the bride and groom. Suddenly, the dog bolted.

He ran straight toward the stranger. The guests turned around. Everyone was shocked when Bayrak began barking at the woman, biting his teeth into the fabric of her dress, and threw her to the ground.

By the time people realized why the dog was acting this way and what the woman was hiding under her dress, it was already too late… Continued in the first comment ⬇️⬇️

The next moment, an explosion rang out.

A deafening roar echoed through the area. People scattered, some screaming, others falling to the ground.

The explosion thundered some distance away—at the edge of the meadow where Bayrak had pushed the stranger.

During the wedding, a dog attacked one of the guests who was hiding something under her dress.

The woman, it later turned out, was a terrorist. The explosive hidden under her dress was poised to be activated. Had she managed to reach the crowd, there would have been casualties. But she didn’t have time.

Bayrak saved dozens of people at the cost of his own life. He died alongside the woman.

The next day, he was buried by an old oak tree on the edge of the village. Everyone had come—the bride and groom, the guests, the neighbors. A plaque was placed on the grave with the inscription:

During the wedding, a dog attacked one of the guests who was hiding something under her dress.

“Bayrak. A loyal friend. A hero.”
