On the bus, instead of giving up his seat to a pregnant woman, a young man offered her a seat on his lap. But what one of the passengers did shocked everyone 😨😱
The bus was traveling along a narrow street, and the interior was cramped and stuffy. Every row was crowded, and every seat was occupied. When the doors opened at the next stop, a young woman in a light summer dress boarded.
She was seven months pregnant—her rounded belly clearly revealed her condition. She held onto the handrail, breathing heavily, and it was immediately obvious that she was having difficulty standing.

Directly in front of her sat a young man with headphones on. He was completely immersed in his phone, listening to music, and didn’t even notice the pregnant woman standing next to him.
“Young man, could you give me your seat?” the woman said quietly and politely.
The man didn’t react, as he simply couldn’t hear her through the headphones. The woman leaned over slightly, lightly touched his shoulder, and repeated louder:
“I’m having a hard time standing. Can I sit in your seat?”
The man, removing his headphones, looked at her with displeasure, and instead of standing, grinned insolently:
“If you want, you can sit on my lap,” he said, gesturing to his legs and then bursting into loud laughter.
His words were so defiant and brazen that the woman barely held back her tears. A flicker of despair flashed in her eyes—she truly was having a hard time standing, but the strength to argue was already ebbing away.
An awkward silence fell over the cabin. Some passengers turned away, pretending they hadn’t heard, others exchanged glances, but no one intervened.
At that moment, the old man sitting in the seat next to her, who had been observing the situation the entire time, did something that shocked the entire bus. 😨😱 Continued in the first comment 👇 👇
“You can take my seat.”
It was an elderly man, gray-haired and gaunt, who was sitting next to her. He slowly stood up, leaning on a cane. The woman shook her head.
“But you… it’s hard for you to stand too…”
The old man smiled slightly.
“It’s okay, I’ll take your seat.”
“Which seat?” the woman asked, surprised.
Without another word, the old man walked around the young man and… sat right on his lap.
The bus erupted in laughter. Someone even applauded. The young man blushed, his eyes widened, and he jerked, trying to get up, but the old man, as if on purpose, settled more comfortably.
“Well, since the pregnant woman’s seat is taken, I’ll take you up on your offer,” he said loudly, and the entire crowd burst into laughter again.
The young man, completely overcome with shame, immediately jumped up and, nearly tripping, gave up his seat to the woman. She carefully sat down, sighing with relief and thanking the old man.
