Due to our busy schedules, my husband and I hired a nanny to watch our two children. Everything was going well until yesterday when an incident occurred.
I came home at 6:00 PM and saw the nanny getting out of the shower, her hair wet. She explained it was because our baby had spilled milk on her.
The problem was, my husband should have been at work. But he was home. 😱
I was overcome with doubt; something wasn’t right.

Less than an hour later, I checked my records and saw my husband coming home, apparently after leaving for work.

«Why are you back so early?» he asked.
I explained that a power outage had ended my workday early.
He sighed and confessed, «Yesterday, when our daughter spilled milk on the babysitter, I asked her to take a quick shower while I watched the kids, who were asleep. That’s why I came back.»
