The wife had begun noticing changes long before everything happened. Her husband became cold and distant, often disappeared in the evenings, and looked her in the eyes less and less.
He asked strange questions, as if casually: what would happen to her business if something happened to her, who would inherit the accounts, whether insurance was in place, whether she had updated her documents. At first, the woman attributed it to stress, exhaustion, or a crisis in the relationship, but the anxiety inside her kept growing.
One day, when he was not at home, the woman accidentally noticed a folder on his desk. Inside were documents related to insurance on her life and health. The amount was so large that it took her breath away. The documents bore her husband’s signature. At that moment, it became clear that this was no longer just a cooling of feelings in the marriage. Her husband was planning something.
She did not start a scandal. She showed no reaction. She pretended that she knew nothing.
On the day of their anniversary, her husband invited her on a date. He was gentle and attentive, held her hand, and said the very words she had not heard for a long time.
At one point, the woman even allowed herself to think that perhaps all of this was only her imagination. That maybe her husband still loved her.
He suggested going to the mountains, to a picturesque cliff, to take beautiful photos as a keepsake. The climb was difficult, the wind grew stronger, and thick fog spread all around. The woman stepped close to the edge, admiring the view and feeling the cold air on her face. Her husband stood behind her.
When she turned around, he was no longer there.
Instead, there were three muscular men dressed in dark clothes. They moved too quickly. The woman tried to step back and defend herself, but the forces were unequal. One of the thugs grabbed her arm, the second shoved her shoulder, the third held her so she could not break free.
Just before her body plunged down from the enormous cliff, one of them leaned closer and said almost calmly:
— Enjoy your time in hell. Greetings from your husband.
After that, the woman remembered nothing.
The husband was sure that everything had gone according to plan. The three men, having received their payment, began to descend to make sure that the body was indeed lying at the foot of the cliff and that no traces would remain. But they had no idea what horror was waiting for them below 😱😲
They did not know that a few days before the trip, the wife had contacted a private security company and the police, providing them with copies of the insurance documents and a recording of a conversation in which her husband discussed “solving the problem.”
She agreed to the meeting in the mountains only after a detailed plan had been developed.
Under her clothes, she was wearing a lightweight climbing safety harness hidden beneath her jacket. When she was pushed, the carabiner worked exactly as it was supposed to.
The fall was harsh: she struck the rock and lost consciousness, but she did not die. She was held by a cable that had been secured in advance on the opposite side of the ledge.
When the men descended, they did not find a lifeless body.
They were met by police officers and an operational unit who had been observing the entire scene from a neighboring slope using optical equipment.
The recording was made from several cameras. At that moment, the husband was already under surveillance and was arrested a few hours later.
He had expected to take her money and start a new life.
