The mother-in-law pushed her daughter-in-law off the roof of a tall skyscraper to get the inheritance. But she could not even imagine what would happen just a few minutes later. 😨😲
The party on the roof of the office building began calmly and even a little ceremoniously. Employees of a large company had gathered to congratulate the new director.
No one said it out loud, but everyone knew that just a year ago this woman had simply been the wife of the company’s owner, and now she had become the head of a huge organization.
Her husband had died unexpectedly. An accident took his life in a single evening, and no one could immediately believe that it had really happened.
He had left no will because he was still young and had never thought about death. According to the law, all his property, his bank accounts, and the company itself passed to his legal wife.
They had no children, so she became the sole heir and the only person who had the right to manage the business.
This news was a heavy blow for his mother. The mother-in-law was sure that her son would always take care of her and would never leave her without a share.
But the law was on the daughter-in-law’s side.
At first the woman tried to speak calmly, but then arguments, accusations, and endless reproaches began. The mother-in-law increasingly said that the daughter-in-law had taken everything that belonged to their family.
The final straw was the office party. The employees decided to celebrate the appointment of the new director and invited almost everyone connected with the company.
Someone from the staff also decided to invite the mother-in-law, thinking that it would be the right thing to do.
The woman arrived in a black suit and hardly spoke to the guests. She stood by the window, watching the people and occasionally throwing cold glances at the daughter-in-law.
When the music became quieter and some of the guests went out onto the roof of the skyscraper, the daughter-in-law walked up to the glass railing to look at the evening city.
The mother-in-law stepped up behind her.
For a few seconds they stood in silence, and then the woman quietly said:
— Everything should have belonged to our family.
The daughter-in-law had only just turned to reply when the mother-in-law suddenly pushed her.
The yellow dress fluttered in the air, and the young woman lost her balance.
The mother-in-law was certain that if the daughter-in-law disappeared, the entire inheritance would sooner or later pass to her as the only relative of the deceased company owner.
But she had no idea what would happen just a few minutes later. 😨😲
But a few seconds later, screams were heard on the roof. The building’s security guards were already running toward the edge. The daughter-in-law did not fall straight down.
During the fall she instinctively grabbed onto a metal structure of a service platform located several meters below the roof. Her hands were slipping on the cold metal, the wind was tearing at her dress, and her legs were hanging in the empty space above the enormous height.
Several employees saw her and started shouting, calling for help.
The security guards and two men quickly climbed down a technical ladder and within a minute managed to reach her and pull her onto the platform.
The young woman was trembling, her hands were bleeding from cuts, but she was alive. A few minutes later police officers and doctors were already on the roof.
When the daughter-in-law was being taken to the hospital, she opened her eyes for a moment and quietly said to a police officer:
— Please… don’t let her go.
At that moment the mother-in-law realized for the first time that her plan had collapsed and that a completely different life awaited her.
