LIFE STORIES

A school bus driver noticed that one of the students wasn’t going into the school but was heading toward the forest; he decided to follow the boy and was shocked by what he saw 😲😨

The morning bus stopped in front of the school, and the doors opened with a soft hiss. Children began getting off one by one. Some were laughing, others arguing, and a few boys were pushing each other and almost running toward the entrance.

The driver sat behind the wheel, watching this familiar morning chaos in the mirror. He always made sure no one tripped on the steps and that every child reached the entrance safely. Sometimes he raised his hand and smiled.

— Have a good day, kids.

A few children waved back, and a girl with a huge backpack nearly lost her balance. The driver followed each child with his eyes until they disappeared into the school.

The last to get off was a boy of about six. Small, in a dark jacket, with a backpack. His name was Alex.

He stepped down slowly and paused by the door for a moment, as if he wasn’t in a hurry. Then he took a few steps, looked at the school, and stopped at the entrance.

The driver was about to close the doors when he noticed that Alex didn’t go inside.

Over the past week, he had noticed something strange several times. Every morning Alex got off last and then disappeared.

He had told himself more than once that it might not be his business.

But today something felt wrong.

Alex walked along the fence and then suddenly turned onto a path leading into the forest.

All alone.

The driver watched for a few seconds, then decided to follow him.

After a few minutes, he saw something that left him frozen in shock 😢😱

The path led deeper into the forest. Autumn leaves rustled softly underfoot. After a few minutes, the driver noticed the boy.

Alex was sitting on a fallen tree. His backpack lay beside him, and he was staring at the ground.

When he heard footsteps, he flinched and quickly поднял his head.

— Alex… — the driver said calmly. — Why aren’t you in school?

At first, the boy didn’t answer. He lowered his eyes and stayed silent for a long time.

Then he said quietly:

— I come here every day.

The driver slowly sat down beside him.

— Every day?

Alex nodded.

He explained that in the morning he gets off the bus with everyone else, waits until the other children go into the school, and then goes into the forest. There he sits until lunchtime or walks among the trees. When classes end and the bus comes back, he returns to the stop and rides home with the others.

At home, everyone thinks he was at school. He spoke quietly and sometimes stumbled over his words, but gradually everything became clear.

In class, he was constantly bullied. Several boys laughed at him, pushed him, hid his things, and sometimes insulted him in front of everyone. One time it ended especially badly. They hurt him badly during recess, and the teachers only said that the children should sort it out themselves.

After that, Alex simply couldn’t bring himself to go back into the school.

When he finished speaking, the driver looked at him for a long time, feeling a heavy tightness inside.

The next day, everything went differently.

When the bus stopped and the children got off, the driver got out as well. He waited for a few boys from Alex’s class and calmly called them over.

The conversation was short, but very serious.

He explained that he knew what was going on and that it would not continue. He said that if he saw anything like that again, the conversation would no longer be with them.

Then he turned to Alex and nodded toward the school.

— Come on.

That day, for the first time in a long while, the boy walked into the school — and he was not alone.
